I was admitted to hospital two weeks ago with suspected Appendicitus. After the pain moved around my stomach and also into pelvic area, was diagnosed with bad PID as a result of IUD being in too long. Had blood tests which showed white blood cell count of 25,000. (Normal range being 4000 to 7000). Was treated with IV Flaggyl and oral doxycyclin and sent for ultrasounds. Had both internal and external pelvic ultrasound, results being normal, with only two very small para-ovarian cysts present. Was sent home with 2 week course of Doxycyclin and 1 week of Flaggyl. Have just finished the antibiotics and had follow up blood test with all normal results but i am still having this lower pelvic pain and need to urinate ALOT. My GP is sending me for a lower abdo and pelvic CT this week, but am making myself sick with worry, can anyone tell me what is going on????Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
