i have a had a very severe sore throat for the past week.
i was tested for strep throat and mono but both tests were negative. the doctor said that it is possibly a viral infection that should clear up in 5-7 days. now my tonsils are very swollen and painful making it VERY difficult to swallow, however, it is still easy to talk. i've been drinking many fluids with antioxidants and advil to help relieve some of the pain. however, the symptoms do not seem to be getting any better. Any advice???
