Looking for the name of a condition where you have lumps in your thighs about the size of a golf ball. Very painful, yet when massaged at length they dissipate and the fluid disperses back into your system. Though they recur, they're not harmful.

Had a patient years ago that always felt better after a massage, yet when asking fellow nurses and much research, have gotten no answers. Now a friend of mine has the same condition and I'd like to get more information on it.

Appreciate any help you can give me.

  • I had a similar problem several years back that kept recurring due to other medical conditions and they found it was a strep infection. Yes, strep...like strep throat. I was placed on antibiotics and it took some time to clear up.
