  • Possibly due to "swelling", I can not remember what the fancy name is.It was probably a thing just waiting to happen and because of the chemicals and ... etc. it decided to join in :confused:It is not really water retention, but "blood ?" not travelling back up the leg properly.Because it is ordinary fluid, it will not show up on most tests. Also I suspect you are resonably active, this will also hide it.One indicator is 1) bend the right leg at 90 degrees.2) place the 2nd finger of the left hand in the bend at the back of the knee3) line the 1st finger (index finger) with the direction of the calf (lower half of leg)4) is there a gap in you left palm or are you holding a "muscle".If there is a deffinite "rounded muscle" against your left palm, then this is an indication of the above swelling type.I believe it is called a Smythe Muscle (after the Doctor), but not anything to do with his field of medicine (e.g. you have an Achilies Tendon, but there is no relation to the mythelogical charecter). To test the other leg, just do vise verca (left leg / right hand). The following is not 100% medical, but should be helpfull to follow up.The pain is caused by the swelling, things are presurised in the calf and so thus are causing you pain.Raising your legs (possibly as high as your heart) when resting may reduce the swelling.Proper "Medical Support Hosiery" may help (you probably do not need the high grade types - possibly go for "open toe type").There may well be topical creams you can rub on to help, but also the simple massage action may help (thus you could use and simple cheap massage oil).Follow up on the above ideas and perhaps expand them. I would be interested to hear what happens, all the bestTerryP.S. I may be slow to acknowledge because I have an interesting life
