Hi I hope someone can give me some advice
For the last few months the *top* of my l foot has been hurting -not intense, and no pain when I am sitting or laying.
When I walk it hurts, and for the last week has been making me limp slightly, so it's worsening a little.
I have no idea what started it - I haven't had any sporting injuries, and this foot has never been injured before. I have had some minor back problems in the past which have been largely cured by physio, although I know if I do any heavy lifting my back will tell me the next day I am stupid.
Looking at the foot pain section of WD website, nothing seems to deal with pains in the "mid foot" area so it's called on a diagram I saw - its above my ankle, across the top of my foot.
The GP examined me, manipulated my foot with no pain, and could make no diagnosis. He ruled out referred back pain (my pain is apparantly in the wrong location), and agreed with me that a strained muscle should have healed by now. He suggested I was in the age range to get gout, but again researching this it seems unlikely as there is no swelling, pain is not acute, nor in typical gout location.
I am 41, in good health, not overweight, and rarely drink alcohol.
