Any adivice gratefully received at this stage...

Female, 33, generally healthy

About 2 weeks ago i woke up in the middle of the night with a horrific pain in my side about the area of appendix/ovary. Next day was feverish and not well so went to doctor who sent me to hospital worried it might be appendix or ovary cyst, asked for ultra sound to be done, hospital did bloods, not appendix however trace of blood in urine, suggested kidney stones (history of them in family). Last weekend the pain had progressed to all of the side and back, still area of appendix region and just under rib cage on - all on the right hand side, pain in side and back is like a constant stitch from running. I am not peeing more frequently nor feel any discomfort when peeing, however, my pee is a shade of green but taking anti inflammatories now also. SO i went back to hospital and they did CT scan for stones, none there, bloods were completely normal and urine still showed trace of blood though and no infection. told to come back for further tests, in the meantime taking the anti inflammitories 2 full days now and no difference although my back is really hurting now. the pain is always worse when sitting and almost non existant when lying down.

please someone have knowledge - 2 things they are suggesting for tests are checking out for colites etc and kidney inflammation but they said they dont know, also have some constipation and diarreah but that could be the stress of it all!!

  • Have u been tested for a fatty liver? Thats the diagnosis I got for the same symptoms that you have. Also being treated for presumed ulcer. My pain is also made worse from sitting for long periods of time....almost non-existant when laying down.Blood tests come out normal...not gall bladder either.Hmmm, hopefully someone will shed some light on these symptoms so we can get some relief.Yours in PainCat

  • female 33...please check out www.ahummingbirdsguide.com urinary problems are listed there...see how many other sx you have no matter how trivial they seem, keep in mind it's viral and can be contagious...several people from all over the country are beginning to listen to me...Many of us believe this to be an outbreak and may be of epidemic proportions...not trying to scare you, just trying to get a handle on all of this...I'm a nurse, been sick for 4 years...Had appt w/ dr for 2 mos from now, I called yest am and they changed my appt to 2 days after I told them my story and what I believe to be happening here...So glad someone other than people without a diagnosis are starting to pay attention...go to thread titled "contagious joint pain?" I think this will shed some light...Be well...mommy cat
