I got unprotected sex with a gf and after 1 day later, I encountered burning testicle and pain in the tip of urethra. I was diagnosie with NGU from the clinic and given Zithromax( Azithromycin) 1G oral. The pain went off for 1 week but came back on the 2nd week. I also have nerve pain and needle poking pain on my fingers and toes.

I went back to the same clinic and did a swap test and the doctor said it is fine. I went back to the same doc 2 days later due to the pain is unbearable. Did another swap test(stick 1 stick in the urethra), this time the rating is moderate and was given Metronidazole and Erythromycin.

2 weeks later the nerve pain is gone but still feel constant pain on the tip of urethra. I peeled open my urethra and take 1 bright torch light to shine. I found red spot like 2 or 3cm inside the uethra. Then i do something stupid by touching it with my finger. ***n the pain is excatly the sharp pain that I constantly feel. After i touched the wound, my nerve on my body start pain again!
I can feel in on my thigh,leg,hand... These nerve pain is killing me.
This morning I got diffcult walking, I just cant feel my knee they are both numb.

I'm totally lost what I should do next.. feeling depress as this is already 2 months. No xmas or new year celebration for me. :(

  • It sounds like herpes to me, have you had a test for hsv? Do you have a fever? Aspirin and ibuprofen will help the nerve pain. Also Epsom salt baths will help.

Ask your PCP to do a herpes culture inside the urethra and then put you on one of the meds for herpes, like Valtrex or Zovirax. You may need to stay on the herpes medicine for a month for it to clear as it was missed to begin with (most docs dont look for that at first on STD testing).Ask doc for strong pain meds as herpes on a mucosal field is very painful.
