pain in Ribs/Arm Pit/Thigh

I have been experiencing pain in my armpit and down the left side of my ribcage for almost eight months now. I have been to many physcians from cardiologists, internal specialists, gastro, etc. Many tests have been run to rule out any life threatening ailments (MRI's, endoscopy, stress-echo, bloodwork, etc). All of these tests have returned normal results.

The pain is often constant and it doesn't matter if I'm at rest or exercising. It seems to originate in my left armpit and travel down the outside of my ribcage and sometimes I can feel a similar pain in my left thigh. The Dr is "guessing" that it could be anxiety related but I am having a hard time believing that.

Any help would be VERY nice!!

Thanks in advance,

Rich

  • It could be pancreas related. Did they check that???? Shoot for this test: Electron Beam Tomography Angiography...you'll have to pay for it out of your pocket, most likely, but it shows things that other tests miss. Here's something else: Costocontritis

  • Are you still having that pain? I have the same thing and I was dx'd with costochondritis. I also have a lump on my lower left rib.
