My Son is 11 years old and is suffering with pain in his right knee after being slide tackled in football. There is no obvious swelling or bruise. The knee is also very sore even if you only just touch it softly. The hospital have done an x-ray which is clear but he is currently awaiting an MRI Scan. It has now been about a month since he injured his knee and is currently in a splint & on crutches but finds it too painful to walk on it. This has happened on a few other occassions and the doctors have never come up with a reason why. He has been tested for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Stills Disease but they both came back negative. The only thing the doctors have come up with is that he has a problem with pain (intollerant or psychosymatic) I feel that there is something not right with his knee. Any ideas as I feel like I'm fighting a loosing battle.
