Pain in back of knee and calf

I suddenly developed a pain in my calf and back of my knee. It goes away when sitting, except when I straighten my leg. When I get up and start walking after sitting, it is very painful, but then goes away after walking for a few minutes. I'm not weak at all, and don't have any numbness in my feet or toes. Any ideas?

  • Sounds like you should get checked for DVT, especially if you've noticed any swelling, redness or tenderness to your calf and leg.
