I am a 14 year old boy. I went to a rheumatologist and she told me I have chronic pain sydrome. (Another doctor said I may have juvenile fibromyalgia) Since following the excerisize regime my pain has gotten a lot better. However the fatigue hasn't changed at all. Other symtpoms that I am having include: pain in the chest, joint pain, muscle pain, sleep disturbances, and naseu (but I just became a vegatarian so that could be the problem).

When I say fatigue I mean always being really tired and somewhat weak. When I get home from school at 4:30 I fall asleep and can sleep until nine. Then go back to bed in two hours.

I am on Lamictal, Prozac, Strattera, Buspar, Melatonin, Rozerm, and Zantac for depression/social anxiety disorder/insomnia.

Anyone have ideas.

  • I'm sorry you are feeling this way especially at such a young age. This is only my opinion but I beleive you are on too many medications that your liver and kidneys are unable to filter and keep up with. do you take all these meds at the same time or have you been on them at different times. I would try another practitioner possibly a holistic doctor that could give you minerals to help the deficinecies that are causing all your symptoms. Just an opinion. I'm 45 and am suffering wuth pain and extreme fatigue but find that natural minerals and vitamins along with a better diet ( I used to be total carbohydrate eater) I've cut down the carbs and acidic foods and added more alkaline/protien foods. I'm worried about my 15 year old because all he ates is Pizza, Chips, Pop, Cereal, and ice creame. He has developed so many allergies, gained weight, is always sick , and has a tic disorder. Please watch what you put into your body whether it be food, medicine, etc. You are way to young to be feeling this way already. Start with finding a good doctor who is not going to try and label you and overdose you on psyc drugs. You can find natural minerals such as magnesium/ calcium that can fo the same thing. i wish you luck!
