I have been feeling pain and discomfort on the right side of my neck for a little over a year now. I am 18 years old. When I first knew something was wrong, I had this feeling like my voice was distant and something was stuck in my throat. I went to my doctor and said that it felt like something was stuck in my throat. My doctor prescribed me acid reflux medicine. However, the discomfort persisted and the feeling only seemed to worsen. My doctor didn't know what was wrong, so I went to see an ENT doctor. The ENT doctor had me take a Thyroid test and a swallowing test and the tests came back negative. So my doctor had me do an x-ray of my neck. Everything looked normal, but I had an enlarged Thymus. Some I wet to see a Thymus gland specialist and he said that the thymus was enlarged but it shouldn't be giving me these symptoms. So below, I am listing the symptoms that I feel.
The main part where there is pain is the area above my clavicle.
Feeling of fullness in the right ear, as if it were partially blocked
Discomfort in the back right of the tongue if anything touched that area
Discomfort while swallowing on the right but not when eating
Discomfort/pain in the right area of the neck right under the corner of the jaw during loud speaking
In inability to raise my voice without pain/weakness on the right
A minor degree of daily tenseness in my right shoulder and neck
Occasional discomfort when yawning on the right side of the throat behind the back of the tongue
Feeling of something being caught right under the tonsil right behind the back right portion of the tongue
The degree of discomfort can vary a lot
Nose bleeds occasionally but now they seem to stop
