I am in my late twenties. I have had extreme pain in my hands and arms. It feels like the bones and joints hurt not the muscle. Sometimes the pain switches to my foot or knees and that is just as of this week. It is typically in my arms and hands but not my upper arms. I have been to doctors and they have ruled out lyme, ms, lupus, arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc. I have been told I have Epstein Barr......but pretty much everyone carries that virus in their system so what is to say it is even active? I have no symptoms other than this horrible pain that has been with me for a month. I'm wondering what the next step is because I don't see how a virus can only give me one symptom. I have no fever, fatigue, etc. I can't help but think it is something worse like cancer. Everyone keeps telling me not to worry and that it will eventually go away but I am having a hard time believing that. Sometimes the pain is so extreme that I can't open a door or pick up a drinking glass. I also have low platelets that have been monitored for the last year. I have no idea if they are related. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ThanksReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
