Overwhelming tiredness

I am 25 and for the past few years since I was 21, I have had episodes of overwhelming tiredness during the day, regardless of how much sleep I get. The sleep can be deep and uncontrollable - someone could be talking to me or I could be standing up, walking or even eating and I can still nod off or just drop to the floor. Sometimes when I'm in a high state of emotion, such as having a laughing fit or be really upset, I also start to collapse. I have been to the doctors and they could not find anything wrong - they have ruled out diabetes or Thyroid problems. I just don't know what's wrong with me. I'm scared to take driving lessons and don't trust myself with things that would need concentration over time.

They include: Excessive daytime sleepiness: Sleepiness during the day is often the first noticeable symptom of Narcolepsy. Those who suffer from it are often tired and may fall asleep during odd times, such as while driving.Cataplexy: Cataplexy is the sudden and brief loss of muscle control. The person is fully awake and aware of what is happening. The attacks of cataplexy often occur in conjunction with the experience of strong emotions, such as anger or laughter."
