For the past at least 8 months I have had an ongoing fever. I am 24 years old and have had problems for about 2 years now with an abundace of symptoms. Everything started in 2004 when I became pregnant and had a very scary pregnancy. Glucose problems along with blood pressure problems and a horrible itch rash all over my body that was diagnosed by derm. as PUPPS. My obgyn didnt do a very good job of taking care of me during my pregnancy I gained a great deal of weight starting at 117 and ending up around 205. On thanksgiving 2004 i went into labor and went into the hospital was told the baby was too small and they gave me some iv drugs and sent me home on bed rest which I was already on since my 6th month or my pregnancy. Well my first due date was November 17nd and later was told my due date was December 22nd. And at my last ultra sound my son was at leadt 6.5 lbs. But oh well...at my next appt I went in for my check up and my doctor finds out that my placenta matured ot the point that it was nurturing the baby anymore and i needed to ge tot the hospital to have him. They put me into labor asap and i pushed for a very long time on the 6th...only to start bleeding heavily and rushed into have a csection. My son was 8lbs 7 oz and 19 inches long...healthy other then jaundice. I ran a very high fever for a few weeks that required high dose antibiotics and extra days in the hospital. My son was colic like but other wise healthy, he sat up very soon and spoke soon but he wouldnt walk, and at 15 months he had an mri where they saw and diagnosed him with cerebral palsy. Mild case, but he has problem now at 3 with walking, but his intelligence is very high. So that a little background...sorry so long!
My son had alot of ear infections, and I was always sick all the time eventually keeping me from my job. About a year ago it got worse the joint pain and popping cracking was intense, and the worst of it all was...my on going fever. It is constant a low grade in the 99's all the time, and at times it spikes to 102 and i am sweating horribly and very faint. Tired and weak comes and goes. I have had a few times where I have had the high fever and I have fainted and have to eat something immediately. Also i have had a deal with my periods, very irregular and i wont have one unless i am on a pill, and not only that but my skin has horrible cystic breakout on my face scalp ears mouth and armpits and private areas. Always requiring an antibiotic...also respitory problems ongoing sinus infections and strep throat. And I have problems with my gastro track, horrible heartburn and tummy aches with diareha very often and tons of gas no matter what i eat. I recently developed an open oval on my right side have had for atleast a month with serious pain on that side to talk and breath deeply. Doctor has blown me off for too long, but my insurance wont cover any other doctors in the area and money is very hard to come by and I am in serious need of some help. Everytime i go back in to see my doctor she says it could be this or this but she never tests me for anything and says i am stressed and depressed, which you would be too if you have gone thru feeling like this for so long. SHe doesnt even exam'n me liek check the thraot or ears or belly, i have to go to an immediate care center to get that type of attention and they cant do everything for me. Someone please help me out...i need answers and I just want to be myself again so I can take care of my family and help my son like I want to with each day...
