Hello everyone. Earlier this afternoon, I started to feel lightheaded and thought maybe I was dehydrated. Since I live in the desert, this happens on occasion, so I drank plenty of fluids and thought nothing of it. However, my headache grew, I started to feel disoriented and confused, and the biggest mystery -- my urine was clear and plentiful (as opposed to dark and minimal as is typical for dehydration cases).
My next thought: That chili I ate for lunch was coming back to haunt me. I did have diarrhea, but that came about 3 hours after my other symptoms, which doesn't seem right. Also, I have no stomach cramping or pain and I haven't vomited.
While my disorientation/confusion seems to have gone away mostly, I have had a dizzy sensation for about 6 hours now. In the past hour or two my vision has changed slightly, tho I can't pinpoint exactly how. It's like my eyes are sensitive, yet I can look into light
I did a little research online and it says I could have brain infection. I know, hypochondriac... but I haven't seen a dentist in about 5 years, and I've probably had gingivitis for a while. My gums aren't fire engine red or anything, but they do bleed a little and the gums on my corner teeth, and now all of them, seem to be receding down to the root. Is it possible that such an infection has spread into my bloodstream and elsewhere in my body?
I'm planning to go the ER if my symptoms worsen, but of course I have no health insurance, so I'm trying to avoid that option and see a walk-in tomorrow A.M.
Could this all be just from food poisoning? Should I go to the ER now?! Any thoughts? Thanks!
