Odd Knee Pain

Any advise here would be greatly appreciated.

My mother started complaining about knee pain in her right knee, 2 weeks ago, and it is to the point now where she is limping. Today she has pain (the same pain) in her other knee, and is limping badly.

I am not sure what this could be as it has come on so fast and sounds a little strange to us!

She is allergic to ALL medications, she eats 2 cloves of garlic each day and this has been great for her. I am just hoping this is not the first signs of some sort of disease.

Please let me know your thought on this situation.
