I took my mom to see her doc and he doesn't have a clue as to why all of a sudden she is experiencing numbness from knee down to her toes. Granted..this all started from wearing some pointy toe boots plus stress, but constant numbness that comes and goes throughout the day seems really strange. She is in her 60's and does walk regularly. Can someone please help?

  • The fact that she was wearing pointed toe boots is significant. It may have compressed the nerves in foot and lower leg, leading to numbness. The large tendons on top of foot extend into lower leg. They can be compressed and irritated from too-tight shoes. I would recommend she see a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon. Hope this helps.
