Please help me. I have been seeing Drs. for about 4 years now. I have seen Neurologists, Orthopedic, Allergy Specialists, Neurosurgeon, Pain Management, Phy. Therapy, and Chiropractor.
I have a numbness that will start on the right side of my neck and goes up the side of my face, and around the crown of my head. The thing that triggers it the most often is when I sit down, or when I am on my feet for 4 or 5 hours. I can only get rid of it when I lay down for 3-4 hrs. When it finally wears off, I have a soreness at the base of my skull.
I have had a CAT Scan, Brain MRI, Cervical MRI (which shows total deterioration C5-6-7 and arthritis left side) the Drs. say this couldn't be causing my numbness. I also have had sinus Xrays, which all the rest are normal.
I had an injury to my Right elbow in 2003 which I was diagnosed with Rt Lateral Epicondylitis. The pain radiates to my shoulder. The Drs. say this couldn't be causing my numbness either. The last Neurologists asked if I might have TMJ? My dentist said NO, and my teeth are fine. I can't get any help, what can it be? I feel the Drs. are clutching at straws. I live in Wheeling WV, and see Drs. in Pittsburgh PA, St. Clairsville OH, and in Wheeling.
I had a job for 2 years where I drove a lot, the numbness got so bad I had to quit. I now have a job working sales in electronics, and by moving around on my so much, the numbness usually doesn't start until I sit down for lunch.
I am at wits end, and really need some help, I don't know where to turn. Please help?
