I have neck problems and possibly arthritis. The other day, I fell asleep on my couch in a crooked position and woke up numb on my entire left side. I felt almost paralyzed, but the feeling came back after about 10-15 minutes, leaving me weak and having trouble moving. When I was able to get up with my husband's help, I was limping and almost fell down the stairs due to being very weak and having little feeling on the left side. In about an hour's time, I was almost back to normal with just some discomfort on that side that lasted till the next day. I am only 36 years old. I've had this happen before and have been told pretty much that it's a pinched nerve, but it seems much more serious to me than that and I know a pinched nerve in the neck would just cause symptoms in my arm (I've had that happen too and this is different). Any ideas? Thanks, AmyReply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
