Any help please, I have the sensation of the tail end of an anaesthetic on the left side of my face including my tongue, my neck, my chest, my left arm is pins and needles and so is my left leg, both also feel heavy rather than painful. I had an MRI and it's not a stroke so they've sent me home, it's been constant for 3 weeks and not lessening, any ideas, driving me nuts. Oh and bad headaches on my left side since all the light shining in the eyes at the hospital two weeks ago.

  • I had the same thing for years...I had CAT scans and visited nuerologists and countless doctors. Ended up being a pinched nerve! A regular visit to a chiropractor and monthly massages have taken care of it!

  • I"ve been dealing with the same symptoms for a year and a half! It started with just my left arm and radiated to my chest and behind my left shoulder blade. Had cervical MRI, and neurologist found a small bone spur and blamed symptoms on that. Then it spread to the left side of my face. After about 6 months I started feeling better, other than my left ankle giving out occasionally. Then almost a year later, the pain in arm became so much worse, my arm would turn purple, and my left leg felt heavy and tingled from the knee down. More MRI's, EMG's and blood work, no answers. Neuro has me on Neurotin now to treat the "symptoms". Helping some, more annoying now rather than painful. At this point I could care less what the diagnosis is, just want one! Also being treated for high blood pressure that is recent.

  • How can so many have the same symptoms and they not able to work out what it is. As you said it's annoying more than painful. I don't trust my hand entirely holding hot things and I'm left handed. My tongue is numb on just the left side, and i've got a few ulcers on that side where i'm biting and not realising. I keep getting headaches only on the left side too. Talk about split personality!?!
