I have had mid-low back pain for over 7 months. I also now have numbness in my teeth & jaw and buttocks along with severe pain. I have not been able to tolerate several prescribed pain meds. I use a TENS Unit, follow Physical Therapy, avoid all lifting. I am unable to sleep without a prescription sleep medication. I cannot ride in a car for any long distances (30 minutes max) without nuimbness in my left leg and foot.

I am 5'9" and weigh 130lbs. Before the onset of this condition I was an extremely active 50 year old woman.......HELP!

  • I have something similar. I think it is a sciatic nerve, you need to get an MRI or CT scan if you haven't already, to make sure that is what it is and not something else. Also, they will prescribe you something specifically for that pain, possibly steroids. Good luck!
