im 38 and have been sick for over a year now.i first presented with gastroparesis,my stomach doesnt empty.I then developed a host of other symptoms.About 30 to be exact. My hands and my head tremor,my feet tingle and burn, and i have lost over thirty lbs and cannot gain any of it back, the list goes on and on.I have seen every ologist known to man and have had every scan, scope, and blood test that exist "all normal".I have seen the best doctors in the country and no one can give me a diagnosis. My hope is that someone out there may possibly have been through something similar and there doctor found something that the 50 i have seen did not.I am out of hope, weak tired, and about to give up.If this is the rest of my life then i want no part of it.Some one please help me.thank you.

  • Hi, I hope I can help! There are two things I know quite a bit about as I had both and still do! One is thryoid problem(autoimmune disease) and the other is perimenopause. The symptoms you mention can be found in either one.....you may find yourself here...you may not...but worth a shot! Now both have very similar symptoms and even at 37 or 38 (you are a women right?) you are not too young for perimenopause and any age goes for thryoid problems. Sometimes both these are difficult to catch. Thryoid is difficult becasue not all doctors are up on the latest news in that area. For more infor on that check out Mary Shomon's site on thryoid. It is great and has a forum and help me a lot. For perimenopause (don't discount this yet! you may be surprised), check out power-surge.com....it also has a great information and a forum as well. I am SURE there is an answer to your health problems. Doctors can be frustrating, but don't give up. After you check out those sites, let me know...would like to check you are ok! Joan

  • You might want to check out the page on Hashimoto's Encephalopathy on the above-listed Mary Shoman's site, and see if anything matches your 30 or so new symptoms. I think it can cause tremor. In me it caused fatigue and headaches primarily. Every patient is different, though, and if you have a thyroid hormone imbalance on top, it can complicate your symptom pattern...Best Wishes.

  • Look into porphyria also...http://www.porphyriafoundation.com/about_por/overview/index.htmlhttp://www.porphyriafoundation.com/about_por/types/index.htmlhttp://www.porphyriafoundation.com/pat_stories/index.html http://www.upmc.com/HealthManagement/ManagingYourHealth/HealthReference/Diseases/?chunkiid=22484 You have many of the symptoms other patients with porhyria have. It is a disease that can be managed. Porphyria is linked to other illnesses like auto-immune disorders and such. Some of the symptoms are listed at this link:http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/p/porphyria/symptoms.htm Support groups:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Health___Wellness/Supporttdwi ;) quote=m3369rpwh;85983]im 38 and have been sick for over a year now.i first presented with gastroparesis,my stomach doesnt empty.I then developed a host of other symptoms.About 30 to be exact.
