I haven't got around to it yet, but I should probably go to the doctors.

I'v been sick for about 11 days now or so. I'v had a fever the whole time off and on with a white tongue, Sometimes when I eat a meal I feel sick to my stomach, I'v had a bit of fatigue here and there also.

I'm not sure if this is related but I'v had some muscle spasms. (ocurring sometimes )

Also my wisdom teeth have been coming in and there kinda swollen.

Thanks, Jacob.

*Edit* The fever is very mild, all of these symptoms haven't really affected me all that much. I still go to work and do all my daily stuff.

  • Dear Jake, your symptoms are pretty vague, but with a white tongue, you might get checked for HIV...Only you know your risk factors. If that's negative, consider carbohydrate overload, or having taken an antibiotic recently, and you may need probiotics. Also, should avoid sugars and alcohols. Anyway, there are a lot of things that can cause vague symptoms. Do see your Dr. Hope you feel better. Marionstar

  • For pete's sake HIV?--there they go looking for a zebra or a aardvark again. My doctor would be on the floor laughing her head off. All your symptoms stated are fairly general. Doctor will probably want to run a blood panel to see what the white and red blood cells are doing. You could have a variety of things. The lympnodes can be tied to your wisdom teeth. So can your white tongue. A white tongue indicates there is imbalance of bacteria in your mouth. It can be a candida based infection in your mouth referred to as thrush. or Other things. Usually it is a candida infection. Good luck in the morning.

  • A white tounge can also be caused by stomach issues as well as hypothyroidism. Kiera

  • Kiera, Good call. You stated a root cause for the white tongue. It still usually is candida, but the root cause of many of the imbalance problems in the body would be the thyroid. Thanks for reminding us, to ask for the whole picture, not just the elephant's tail. Can just be thrush after antibiotics for another bacterial infection treatment. Can be because of the candida imbalance that may be thyroid, celiac, or several other digestive factors. Could also be a tooth or gum or sinus infection. Sinus infections are usually viral or fungal. They use to think they were all bacterial. Can be an ulcer. Too much drinking. Colon problems. Could be just a bad diet. Remember your mouth is just the hole in. All along the way if something is wrong it could send messages back up to your mouth so you know something is wrong and need to look into it. Then the zebra's show up....hiv, cancer and whatever. But I think the above paragraph has plenty to focus on.

Have you been to the orthodontist concerning your wisdom teeth? I would check and make sure there is no impaction or infection. Are you having regular bowel movements? DOM

  • With thrush you are able to scrape white matter off the tounge.... Kiera

  • Can you take a picture of your tounge and your wisdom tooth and post it here? It's much easier with a picture. An orthodontist deals with crowded teeth (although not wisdom teeth), in a case with a wisdom tooth you need to see an oral surgeon.

  • He could start with his regular dentist, first..

  • You are of course right Monster Love. If it is not a complicated wisdom tooth, a DDS will be able to help.
