Initially, I had a fasting blood sugar of 5.8mmol/l last October 2010 and the doctor referred me to a glucose tolerance test. The test was negative but I was still experiencing the symptoms. I've had several blood tests, urine tests and another glucose tolerance test over the past several months just to make sure, and all came up being negative regarding diabetes. However, to this day, I am still experiencing symptoms such as unintentional weight loss, frequent urination, thirst, tiredness and eye irritation. For all the tests I've had, I followed all guidelines correctly prior to taking them; to avoid false positive results.
