Week three (or maybe four?) of aches and stiffness in every joint in my body. After about two weeks I started getting sharp pains primarily in my ankles and elbows at night. No inflammation, no redness, no rash, no other symptoms.
Blood and liver function tests came back negative for rheumatoid arthritis, Lyme and Parvo, and all normal except an elevated ESR of 46 and a relatively low WBC, though still within range.
I started out on 600 mg of ibuprofen every four hours which did nothing, took 15 mg meloxicam daily which also did nothing, then started reacting badly to it and was switched to 550 mg naproxen twice a day which stopped the sharp pains but did little for the aches. I'm currently on a two week cycle of prednisone starting at 40 mg and due for another round of blood tests and an orthopedic referral in three weeks.
