Daughter in law got hit on side of head at work, 24 hours later seizure like activity began. headaches, loud noises mostly trigger. Doc says she is faking them. EMT, nurses that have observed say that what she does is not faking.
Continues to have pounding by her ear and neck. MRI, cat scan and eeg does not show epileptic seizures (though a 72 hour eeg only for some reason picked up 6 hours) We are so baffled at to what is going on. Though we have talked to others that have had similiar cases and say could be an ear nerve thing or anxiety. There are 3 children involved husband not here at present and she cannot work due to this. I know I have read in other places that there is a non seizure that is real and not fake and the treatment needs to be addressed.

  • Absent seizures? There needs to be a proper 24 hour EEG performed. If it's negative, it's usually psychological!

  • A 24 hour EEG with proper recording and they may be absent seizures! (Psychological)
