hi there, if anyone can shed any light i would really appreciate it. i recently had some tests done on my cervix - i have had this done before and have then experienced pain and discomfort in my urethra following swabs etc. well this time the pain is excruciating in my urethra, i cant stop urinating and the pain is radiating down my leg and in my groin. i am extremely uncomfortable. i dont need to go to the loo in the night, and it doesnt sting when i urinate. i have been to the gp three times now and none of the antibiotics nor the treatment for thrush have worked. im absolutely desperate for some answers, i am in constant, excriciating pain and sometimes dry heave. its been going on for 10 days now.

  • I haven't had an exam or a swab but I have terrible pain in my urethra and I have the urge to pee all the time. I'm going on two weeks of antibiotics for a uti and it's not helping. Check out this link. It's very interesting... I'm going to call my dr tomorrow to discuss it.http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/pagerender.fcgi?artid=1303542&pageindex=1#pageS.
