no doctor can figure out whats wrong with me. heres the story. In feb 08 for some reason i got really sick, i had sevure admonial pains, i throw up during gym class, i had a loss of appetite and had diarhorria. My parents said it was nervs. One night it got really bad so i went to the hospital. The doctors couldnt figure what it was and sent me home that night, the next day i went to our family doctor. They took a urine test and found nothing wrong. I ended up losing 20pds that week when i was sick. In may of 08 i figured i havent had my period since feb. we went to the doctor again, they said its from when i was sick. 4 mounths later and i still havent gotten it and i have been lossing more weight. I went to the genologist. She looked down there and didnt find anything, so she took blood test. It came up as my thyroid was over active. So i went to another doctor for thyroids. They couldn't find anything wrong ( no surprise) So they asked for more blood tests. I also gained like 6 or 7 pds recently and have again a lost for appetite. I still havent had a period. Can anyone help im soo frustrated and dont know what to do

  • There seem to be a number of people on here who know a lot about the thyroid, i'm not one of them but i believe they would suggest you get the actual results from the doctors, exactly how high the number was the first time, and what the second doctor thought was normal. Hope someone else can help you more than i can.

  • My husband had a thyroid test but it was not done the right way. It has to be done early in the morning, as I recall. So he had to have it done a second time (the right way). This may be why you had another test, and why it came back negative.

  • The other thing you may want to think about is celiac disease.

  • sounds like you had a really bad case of food poisoning and dumb doctors...now you have glandular issues and need to follow up with a specialist..
