Hello, I am a 21 year old female, and dont know how to get healthy.
Im 5'2 and 100 pounds. I cannot gain weight and would like to. I eat relitivly healthy. There are a number of things happening in my life that just dont add up to anyone. I have a huge list of things, but I havent seen a doctor that gives me any answers. They do tests, and they all come back normal.

Help! These are all the symptoms I've been having

-Migraines with auras first
-Normal headachs that last up to 2 weeks.
-Slight Confusion
-Very Dizzy- as soon as I stand, I have to quickly sit down or I'll pass-out
-Tired all the time
-Feel sick after I eat
-Decreased Appitite
-cannot gain weight
-Irregulare menstral periods, bleeding for up to 30 days at a time with a short break before bleeding again for a shorter period of time. Always differnt. I've tryed different birth controls to help the issue, but so far my periods remain very unschedualed. Started after misscarriages
*I have had 1 missed abortion and then a D&C to resolve that issue- and 1 misscarriage where a quick trip to the hospital was made- doctor had to remove *birthing products* because it was stuck. *have givin up on trying to become pregnant for fear of these things happening again*
-I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at a young age, and have little joint pain anymore. They said I may have grown out of it? There are still times where my joints get bad, but it doesnt last as long or happen as often
-Acne on my face since starting Birthcontrol after second misscarriage.
-Unmotivated
-Depressed * I think because I dont feel healthy, but Im not a doctor
-I have Pityrisis Rosea. The first time I had the rash was when I was very young, and have had it come back many times since. Sometimes lasting a year before going away. Currently I have had the rash since June of 2005, not many spots, but they are very big (size of a loonie, toonie)
-Feel like im in a fog
-Becoming more and more shakey. My hands used to be very steady, but now shake when I hold something.
-Doc said my blood pressure is alittle low, but could be normal for my size.
-Sometimes have pain in my bowles.. Sharp and quick and then its gone
-Bloating and gas pain
-Lately I've become anxious, and nervious about nothing. My heart will start to beat quickly and I have to tell myself to calm down.. even though there is nothing happining
-At night when I lay down in bed my heart will have big thumps.. My heart is beating normaly, and then all of a sudden it will thump really hard and then it goes back to normal.
-I have been tested for Thyroid problems, Mono, Rhumitoid Arthritis(when I was young), and I number of blood tests, but I dont know what they were for. My hormones were checked and ok.
I've been to the doctor many times, and Im at the point where Im so frustrated I dont go anymore. They dont find anything, or have any ideas. I plan to find a new doctor and take this list of things with me. Im starting to think my doctor thinks Im making stuff up, because she can never find anything wrong with me. It makes me feel bad because Im not making it up, and I despretly want to know what going on with me, fix it, and get on with my life.
If anyone has any ideas, or the same symptoms.. PLEASE let me know. Any advice, or help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Jennifer; I can't really get into my case but whatever you do; do your homework first. In regards to your Migraines don't do acupuncture it can cause paralysis and 28% of people end up in hospital and this I know from personal experience. The 28% I read on the net looking up acupuncture accidents. Low Blood Pressure check with pharmacists to make sure the drugs or meds you are taking aren't working against each other to cause Low BP. I understand the dizzy part make sure you have lot's of salty foods and chicken noodle soup. Yes I am getting sick of it but it does help. This I also know from personal experience. Depression If you live alone or have no one that will tell you everyday to get out of bed, have a shower it is very difficult to get motivated. I am in my 40's and after 2 different types of accidents I can feel what you are going through. After the first one trying to get better working and not working was in a spiral of drug induced sleepiness, always tired and when the 2nd accident happened and had to live with my parents as I couldn't take care of myself I realized that I was not enjoying my life with my husband as I always was tired or not feeling good, or in alot of pain. Alot of pain can lead to depression. Try looking up Chronic Pain Mgmt. Some people just need help. If you are taking alot of meds that is one way to depression. Maybe ask to delete or cut some in half and try to ween down. You may see a difference; this I know as well. Slight confusion I think if our bodies have gone through alot they are working on other parts and our brain just isn't keeping up. I get confused and mix things up and I think this is normal if you have been through alot or a traumatic situation or accident. I am thin and cannot gain weight that good; but ensure or have a milkshake a day added to good nutrition 3 meals a day. If you are tired you usually are sleeping so you don't get the nutrition. I lost 15 pounds after first accident and gained 10 back. I need to gain 5 more. You need support first and foremost. In getting a new doctor; I have been told don't tell them everything all at once or they won't take you or give you the vibe they are interested. You are young and should be healthy if tests are coming back fine. You interview the physician and get the feeling that they might be good. Take the 2 or 3 most important things and see how they do with that. Again do your homework on anything you do to try to get better. Good Luck. • I just wanted to say thank you to Helper1. :) Im not on many meds, just birthcontrol and ammoxicilin because my gums and neck swelled up a few days ago. The doc didnt say much about that, just that my teeth looked fine so she wasnt sure why the gums were swelling. And told me to take the meds for a week to get rid of the swelling. Im going to continue my research on Thyroids.I do live with my Fiance, but he works alot. Its usually just me here at home. I think that does have a part in feeling lonley and depressed. Im working on that part. I make myself jump in the shower everymorning and that helps alot. Thank you very much for your reply. I'll look into the things you've suggested. :)Jennifer

  • Jennifer,Please read some of the replies I have written to others. It sounds to me as if you have a case of Gut Dysbiosis. It is a condition you may aquire after taking antibiotics or Birthcontrol or some other medication which will interfere with the balance of the intestinal flora and eventually cause a yeast overgrovth which is hard for doctors to diagnose .Believe me I had to do a lot of research to discover my condition after allkinds of tests and x rays etc did not show anything abnormal.I had your symptoms and more.I found a site :stop yeast.com which showed 40 or more symptoms that is possible with this condition and also a list of serious diseases linked to it.There are tests you can do yourself besides going on a specific diet for a week or so ,which would indicate to you if you have yeast by the mere fact that you feel better.I learned that some medications will aggrevate this condition, you can find out for yourself. If Candida albicans overgrowth does not seem to fit, then try to investigate heavy metal poisining.Sometimes these two conditions will go hand in hand.My doctor was in denial about my suggestion that I may have a yeast overgrowth after taking antibiotic,It took me a couple of months research to confirm and treat myself..I am fine now..go on looking, its a start!O.J
