Male age 50

My symptoms are...from most pronounced and earliest to less pronounced and latest.

1) Two lesions in the throught (Doctor scoped, saw two lesions near voice box, said Acid reflux and prescribed Prevacid). Right side healed quickly the left side persists. Not too painful but I can tell it is there.
2) Ringing in the left ear.
3) Muscle Pain (legs, shoulders, arms, neck)
4) Recently, new face sensations (left side)...possible slight numbness.
5) Also I felt a little faint this morning.

Was taking Prevacid before item 3 started…then stopped the Prevacid. Items 4 & 5 are more recent.

I am taking Advil (2 liqui-gel 3 times a day)...may cause 4 & 5?
Added Lodine twice a day starting last week to reduce inflammation (see blood test below)...may cause 4 & 5?
This has been going on for 4 to 6 weeks

I have had three blood workups showing only one abnormalities EXCEPT C-Reactive Protein is high 14-19. Emezine levels are normal. LDL/HDL are normal. No history of heart diseases.

Any ideas of what to look at next.

I was thinking hypermialgia...your thoughts?

  • No...I had thought the doctors would have ordered the MRI by now. I will ask them. The thing I was thinking was Fibermialgia not Hypermialga as stated before. I know this is usually diagnosed by eliminating other options. I did have an extensive hearing test and they noticed minimal hearling loss at one frequency...the Doctor said it is common in people that fire weapons. I have, but rairly. I was not convinced.

  • Go to an ENT doc and have the lesions in your throat biopsied.

  • I'd be asking for that MRI, possibly looking for an acoustic neuroma.http://www.nidcd.nih.gov/health/hearing/acoustic_neuroma.asp

  • Has anyone suggested seeing a rheumatologist? They're good with high CRPs sometimes.

  • Finally, rheumatologist figured it out. PMR - Poly Myalgia Rheumatica Taking a low dose of steriods and almost all the pain was gone in 24 hours. Should be completely gone within a year or so. Working on finding the mimimum does that keeps me moving. Thanks for the input.
