This has been going on for 14 months, started with pneumonia, have had
pneumonia several times but nothing like this, layed around the house for days 28 to be exact (dumb I know) lost 25 pounds, I have regained all lost weight. Finally went to see the doc, gave me some anitibiotics which helped but have not got over this constant cough and coughing up lots of phlem, yellowish color, pure white sometimes and mucus plugs, cough so hard sometimes feels like I will pass out and have on a couple of occasions. i have a lower lobe gone on right lung was taken out about 25 yrs ago becasue of a spot but turned out not to be milignet. I am 54 yrs old. They have done catscans, petscans several times said they saw somethings that needed to be checked out so have done several biopsies they usually see me about once a month, have seen 5 or 6 different doctors all this was done through the VA, everytime i go they tell me the samething they don't know what it is, this is getting very depressing, other symptoms tire easily, shortness of breath, they did say I had copd but that wasn't causing constant cough and phlem, mucus plugs. Now other than a couple of rounds of antibiotics and some inhalers I have recieved no medication because they are not sure about what I have. Any help would be appreciated.
