i need help. i have felt sick and in pain for 4 yrs now. symptoms: all over pain, weakness, exhaustion, full stomach, skin and hair problems, memory problems, thirst. to name a few. the only consistent abnormal results are high platelet, low rbc, blood in urine, low phosphate. pain weakness and exhaustion are unbearable and now spend too much time in bed, Anyone have any ideas? Please Help. i have been from dr to dr to dr...

  • Becasue of the thirst issue, diabetes comes to mind first. Have you been thoroughly tested for this? Also Thyroid can account for most of those symtpoms, fatigue, hair, memory and more and be a bit tricky to diagnose if not under the care of the right doctor. Many GP do not properly test for this very common problem...especially among women...do you have a family history of thryoid? Even if you don't it is a strong possibility. Get tested for FT4, FT3, TSH and the antibodies for Hashimotos Disease and Graves Disease the autoimmune diseases of the thryoid...very common...and treatable under the care of a good doctor...the specialist is called an endocrinologist...the endocrinologist are also the specialist for diabetes.   • Have any of your physicians checked for kidney problems? I also agree with Joan about getting tested for diabetes if you haven't yet.

  • Have they ruled out the following yet?:rheumatoid arthritis or collagen/vascular diseasehemolytic anemias including paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuriaother kinds of bone marrow problems?There are probably A LOT of other things they need to check for. Have you been to a rheumatologist or hematologist yet?Sorry you are going through this
