Please help. I am 30 years old and I have had night sweats and nightmares for nearly 3 years now. Since giving birth 18mths ago my immune system seems to be shot and ive been getting more colds and flus at first but lately instead of colds its kidney infections and throat infections. I also have a pain from time to time in my back under the ribs on right side. My pms seems never to go away and i am most of the time exhausted with dark circles under my eyes. I have pains in my joints that get worse and better. I thought it was a hormonal imbalance but all tests are negative. Full bloods are clear only for my cholestorol which i cant understand as i have an ok diet. Also get very bloated and constipated. I do believe all these symptoms are connected but i think my doctor thinks i am making it up. I have really started to question myself and wonder is it in my mind and get very confused about it all especially when tests come back that everything is fine but you feel so sick!!!

Nightmares and night-sweats are caused by hypertension, which is related to hormones! Did you have pre-clampsia when pregnant? You mentioned kidney infections, tell your doctor that you want a 24- hour urine study done to see if there is protein/blood/etc in your urine! One urine test doesn't tell anything. Being bloated also relays back to kidney function and hypertension. A true 'female hormonal' test has to be done on specific days and time according to your cycle. If your doctor just had you take tests whenever, they are NOT accurate. One of the biggest and most difficult things doctors do not understand is that 'we' as individuals/people, do NOT go by a set "reference range"! Some people are more sensitive than others along with the fact you are 30 years old... Why in the world would you want your thyroid and other important hormonal tests to be the same as a 70 year old woman or man!!!!!! You need to be treated as an individual and NOT a 'reference range'.
