Does anyone have any feedback on using these medications?

I have done a lot of research and I am to choose one of them. I had been taking Gabapentin and I had quite a few side effects. My legs and hands swell up, I get irritable, forgetful, slight memory loss or more like being "cloudy" all the time and I have gained a ton of weight.
Based on my research so far, they all sound pretty dangerous but I don't know. I do know the leg swelling is in the "less than 10%" for the gabapentin so...just my luck. so far everything I read tells me it's probably the best one but again, I have no idea.
Here are the meds:

Brand / Generic (I think)
Elavil / Amitriptyline
Pamelore / Nortriptyline - (2nd gen improvement to Amitriptyline)
Topomax / Topiramate - (nicknamed Dopamax due to drugged feel)
Trileptal / Oxcarbazepine - (so far I have heard this one is bad news :()
Lyrica / Pregabalin - (Extremley expensive)

Any insight into these or other medications for Neuropathic pain would be greatly appreciated; I would like to be able to make an educated risk rather than a stab in the dark.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!
