I am a 53yr old white male and since I have been in my 20's I have had symptoms of essential tremors. When I raise my arms and extend out my hands and arms stiff, I have a trembling movement or shake in my hands. If I sit in a chair and raise my leg, my foot also trembles after some time. I have compensated as much as possible to avoid embarassment of people making comments and have lived a pretty normal life. It has always bugged me and most doctors just blow it off as anxiety. It does get worse if I am doing something and I know a bunch of people are watching me. But I also have the problem when I am by myself. I just wish someone would help me to try and correct it where I could actually hold things still when I need to. It would have changed my life dramatically.
