Needing help in regards to lafora

hi i am needing help on behalf of my mum who is a 53 yr old womn who was diagnosed with lafora in 2006. as this is not common in adults (well not actually seen in adults) she has all the symtoms of lafora and i am wonting hip from someone in why she is deteriating so fast??
she is unable to walk , shaking, eye sight not the best, dementia, low in iron , ceasures and all the other problems that comes along with lafora. s we live in sydney Australia there is no reasearch on lafora... if some one could please help me with any usfull information i would be much appriciated!
