My name is Sara and I am 24 years old. For the past 9 months I have had pain under the lower part of my left ribs. In this time since I started to get the pain I have had an ultrasound, MRI, colonoscopy, 2 xrays, and a catscan. All of these came back normal except for the first xray. I was told that there was fluid in my left lung. I had another xray done 5 weeks later and it showed that is was becoming more soild and geting bigger. That was when I had my catscan done. The catscan came back normal. My doctor then put me on prilosec. I was on that for 2 1/2 weeks and it only got worse. It made my stomach bloat and I was full of gas. I could not tolorate it any more. I went to the doctors this past Tuesday and I talked to my doctor about it. I no longer take the prilosec and he told me that the next step was steroid shots and then a bone scan. I don't think that it is my bones. Please can someone help me figure out what I can do, or what else this could be? I got the steroid shots in my lower rib cage and so far it hasen't done much for me. Could this be my gallbladder or other stomach problems? I have all left side pain throughout my rib cage and now I can feel it in my back! Its driving me nuts!! HELP ME!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
