My son is 15 years old and of excellent health until recently. His MD has diagnosed him with lymphadenopathy and ordered a cbc which showed a low white blood cell count at 4.6 and a low hct at 40.7. He has also been suffering from night sweats. Should I be worried??

  • Is the doctor going to order more tests? What did the doctor say about the abnormal CBC?

  • See Table 1 in this article for many different causes of lymphadenopathy. I'd say it's too soon to worry until you know more. But I'm a parent, and I know how hard that is. http://www.aafp.org/afp/20021201/2103.html
