I have heard of 3 people with the same pain. My son has been in pain for 4 weeks. He has endured all kinds of testing and blood work. cat scans x rays ultra sounds hida scan upper gi with small bowel endoscopy. blood work has been for liver enzymes, pancreatitis, cbc, cholesterol all came back perfect.
They did find esophogeal ulcers, gastritis and hiatal hernia. He has been on nexium, prevacid, carafate, meds for spasms, tylenol 3 and hydrocodone. no pain relievers help and he can stay awake with 2 pain killers /the pain is so intense. He is unable to eat anything at all without doubling over. Docs say it cannot be his gall bladder proved through hida scan and blood work and pancrease enzymes came back in normal range. He has been unable to go to school at all.. Pain comes from eating, drinking to much, movement and there is a lot of nausea. The pain is in the upper right quadrant under the ribs... yes we did rib xrays and cat scans- no fractures. Anybody been diagnosed with anything similar or are we under attack from germ war fare? The doc says there are no more tests to be done and has referred us to a children's hospital but we could not get an appointment for another month! PLease help.. I cannot stand to watch my child suffer any more.
