Not too sure how to describe this. For the past year or so my skin feels thinner and you can see muscles moving under the surface. Also my bones are more visable and can be felt easily under the skin. Blood tests are all normal so my doctor doesnt think its a problem. I just don't feel like myself and need an answer. Any ideas?

  • Any change in diet or exercise plans? Sounds like you lost weight and built up muscle...

  • Thanks for the reply! No real exercise other than daily things, that probably doesn't count. I don't know if it matters but I'd been under a ton of stress before this began. Dunno if this matters either but the knuckles on my fingers are somewhat pebbled (like with diabetes patients?) but my blood sugar is normal. My fingernails and toenails aren't growing anywhere near as fast as they did before this started. I wonder if it could be early diabetes or something? I know, it sounds silly and my doctor doesn't even think this matters but I just know something is wrong. I've had thyroid and pititutiary tests also but nothing came up. Could it be something like lupus or arthritis?

  • Something else I've noticed is that if I sleep funny and get "creases" on my skin from the sheets being folded under my skin or whatever, the creases stay for a long time.

  • Take vitamins and dont worry so much about it... Sounds like alot of stress coming with this.... How old are you? The body makes alot of changes when it ages ...sometimes physicians dont have a disease for it... And thats not a bad thing.. Can you see your veins? i agree with the other post.. Sounds like your loosing weight and toning muscle..... How much do you weigh?

  • Hi again. I'm going to be 23 this year and no-don't take any medications. Sometimes I use skin cream for my face but stopped that as well. Can't see the veins except near my wrists (but always been like that). What could it mean if the veins were visible?I've heard about stress and causing changes to the body but I got out of that situation (bad job) months ago so I dunno why my body would still continue reacting this way. Haven't really lost any weight.

  • I just read this post. I hope I won't have the same problem in the future because I am starting to lose my appetite.
