Hi there,

About 4 weeks ago I developed pain on my left side that I thought was maybe shingles. I couldn't even touch it and it hurt when I showered. Well that intense pain went away but then I developed sort of muscular type pain that ended up coming and going throughout my shoulders, chest wall and back. Ibuprofin helped somewhat. this past Thursday I developed a new symptom - burning sensation in my left chest. I called the ER and was rushed to the hospital. They did an EKG, chest xray and other blood test to rule out blood clot.

Their Diagnoses was Pleurisy and Costocondritis. When I got home that night, the burning sensation spread to both of my breasts and throughout my chest. It did eventually go away then went to the back, it kept moving around. Coupled with that was some bit of numbness.

Today I have found 6 very small red spots on my side. It doesn't look like a shingle, but I am not sure. They are flat.

Also couples with these symptoms are somewhat difficulty breathing, weakness and tiredness.

Can anyone help me??

I am positive for ANA, ACA and MTHFR A1298C copy heterogenous pattern.

The Dr though some of it was acid reflux, but I am not buying it. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be most grateful.

Thank you kindly.

  • I know it has been a long time and probably you already found what your problem is. Anyway, your symptoms are very similar to mine, and I am in the low number for B12, no deficient but if you are not around the 1,000 then you can start getting symptoms and start damaging your nerves (I was 490 and was presenting lots of those symptoms). If you have lab test done it may not show because they consider abnormal when you are in the 200. It seems the over the counter B12 supplements are not working on me, so I have tried nasal spray which works really good for me, the bad part is you need a prescription for it. Also there are some sublingual (the ones that dissolve under your tongue) over the counter B12 supplement (you need to ask for them in the pharmacy) that promise to work as well as a B12 shot. It is amazing how being in the lower numbers of B12 affects your nervous system, I was thinking I had Multiple Sclerosis!Hi there, About 4 weeks ago I developed pain on my left side that I thought was maybe shingles.
