  • sounds like classic orthostatic hypotension.Basically, when you are laying down, the blood pressure is lower, if you get up, in some people it takes a moment or two for the heart to compensate for the change in position, which can lead to dizziness, fainting, etc...My recommendation, is to get up very slowly. First go from laying down to sitting up, stay there for a couple minutes and then slowly stand up. If you have access to a blood pressure cuff, you can take your blood pressure when laying down, when sitting, when initially standing and then a few minutes after standing - with orthostatic hypotension - you will see it drop from laying down to standing and then correct itself in a few minutes. For more info, talk to your doctor.
