I have problems from head to toe. Pain in my jaw and it pops everytime I open my mouth, I'm having tingling in my face now, usually my upper lip and then it runs up my face on each cheek bone area, in my wrists there are times I can hardly pick up a coke or anything, my back, well its been hurting for 15 to 20 years. I've never seen a doctor for it til this past September when it "locked up" and I was not able to stand, sit, lay anything. I have problems with my hips, knees, and ankles. My back is the worst of them all, the others I can handle, but my back puts a damper in anything I try to do. I've had x-rays on my back, hips, knees and the doctor told me everything is ok. My spine looks fine and there is nothing she can see that would cause me to hurt. I do not have insurance, so I'm limited in what I can do, because I live on a fixed income with my husband who is disabled from a wreck. I've tried heat and ice for my back, I've used the heat so much I've scared the skin on my lower back. I keep seeing posts talking about MS and ALS, and that is scaring me, due to I had a first cousin with MS. My Mother has been diognosed (sp) with Sjogen's, and we have diabetes in my family which both brothers now have. There are times I think, heck I'd be better off dead because the pain is so bad, or I need to do something and can't because of my back. Guess I'm just frustrated because I can't get an answer to why I'm having soo many problems and I'm only in my mid 30's. We don't have children, do to mainly my back, I'm scared I wouldn't be able to do what needed to be done. Sorry for rambling, but I'm not sure what to do.  :o

  • dear Wanda sue,I'm sorry to hear that you are in pain all the time. I too have experienced the same thing you are going through. I have back knee anle, and shoulder pain that reaches into my hands there were some morning when i would wake up and my hands were numb! Pretty scary. I had 3 mreis last year and x-rays done. Cortisone shots did nothing. I started to look at muscle pain and had a few massages that helped a little. I looked at my diet and found that alot of the problem was what I was eating and the nutrition deficiency. Sometimes you get into the habit of eating what you like and not what you should be eating. Since the muscles are attached to the bones, they feed off of each other. Here is suggestion for you. Try taking glucosamine with chondroitin and msm. Make sure that you are getting at least 18mg of iron every day, that is what us females over 30 should be getting in our diet. Instead of ice and heat, try a relaxing bath, and stretch, no hard aeobics just lay on your floor and do angels, neck rolls, stretch your arms over your head for as long as you can. Hip rolls, like you are hulahooping very slowly. try practicing touching your toes, you get the idea, sometimes you have to try to heal yourself if doctors cant. I have been doing this for about a year now and feel so much better. A lot of water to. There is no magic pill you can take, it is just becoming better aquainted with what you need. I see that you have a husband that was in a wreck, a lot of stress can also cause physical problems. Please write if you would like some more of what I do for myself. Feel better!Janice
