Good Afternoon! I really need some help. About a year ago the top of my right thigh went numb. Sometimes I would have burning pain in the leg and down in my penis area. It would get worse when I had to stand up for a long time. I went to a urologist who just thought I had a pulled muscle. I also had all the normal tests run for any type of std just in case because of where the pain was but those were all negative. I then had a mri of my leg but they could find nothing. Later I started to develope muscle twitches all over my body but more in my legs. I also developed a pain that is like a soreness mainly in my left calf but also in other areas like under my left buttock. I went to a neurologist and have had a mri of the head and neck and a nerve conduction study and emg but they could find nothing. I had one attack for lack of a better term where I went numb in my legs and arms as well and was so weak I could barely walk. It scared me to the point that I went to ER but they had no idea what to do. I no something is wrong but don't know how to procede. Since the mri did not show up anything the dr acts like he does not know what else to do. I would really appreciate any comments. All the best

  • Was the burning pain which you are describing in the beginning of your post also in the left leg?

  • You need to consider a nutritional supplement that will change your life. You have all to gain and none to lose. The product is called Reliv. Reliv repairs your body by feeding it the proper nutrition it requires daily. I have fibro and if it was not for Reliv I would be in the constant pain I was before. Doctors would never think maybe there is a deficiency inside your body. They are not trained for that. Think outside the box and reach out to learn more. Knowledge is power!!!Nancy

  • It could be in the herpes family, like shingles or herpes 2; with the associate pain in your butt, I would ask for a blood test for herpes 2--you don't need to have a rash to have either of them. If they inflame the spinal nerves, they can cause neuropathy in the legs.

  • It's sounds to me like the muscle twitching is a sign of a blocked lymphatic system or fluid retention. It may have something to do with kidneys. Kidneys may be having a hard time filtering.
