I am having severe neck stiffness on one side. There is a marble sized lump on the back of my neck. My glands on both sides in front are severely visibly swollen. I am having gradually more, still not severe, pain in my throat. I have general muscle soreness from time to time. I went to the doctor 2 days ago and they did a strep and mono test, both came back negative. Since he thought it was muscular related, he gave me flexeril and perkisets to ease the pain and amoxycillin in case it was an infection. 2 days later I have yet to see any results from the medications. The highest my temperature has read was 98.9, which is high for me, considering I usually run low 98. It is back down today but still fluctuates. Any help or guidance would be appreciated as I am going to the doctor tomorrow for re diagnosis. Thank you.
