Hello, around 5 days ago i began to get a lump just below the jaw on my right side. Initally I wasn't to bothered, it was tender but i figured it wasn't a big deal but it's been slowly getting larger, and painful when not touching. I figured it was probably a swollen lymph node, but it has given way to other lumps around it and a small lump that seems to be sitting on the jaw which I think is an abscess although it has not affected any of the teeth. More recently I've been getting head aches with it and occasional ear aches as well as most of the right side of my neck is tender. There are no signs of redness the skin surface but the lump is easily visible. I saw a doctor about it (before the shivers) and he didn't investigate it much, rather told me it wasn't he area of expertise and I should try a dentist.
During the last couple of days I've been steadily feeling tireder and having odd sensations kind of like hot cold spikes, it's hard to describe but it's normally what I associate as the feeling before coming down with flu, and there was an approximately 30 minute period last night where I was fairly aggressively shivering. Today has been a little better, just as tired but less of the hot and cold sensations and so far I haven't had a similar shivering incident.
I'm an 16 year old male, I would like to know if there is anything i can do about it? Will it get better on its own or should I see a doctor again and see if antibiotics are helpful?
