 What could be the reason for severe recurring nausea with lower abdominal discomfort over several weeks - with periods of recovery between attacks?

  • could be a few different things, but one thing that popped into my head was possible candida infection?? (overgrowth of yeast in intestines). Have you recently been on any antibiotics? antibiotics can kill of good bacteria in the intestines and an overgrowth of bad ones. Worth a look into.Hope you feel better soon :)

  • When I was 10, I am 23 now, I had thes bouts of abdominal pain and fever along with nausea and weakness. These episodes where diagnosed as bladder and kidney infections. Finally on Thanksgiving night my appendix ruptured....that is when they figured it out. WHen they were calling it a bladder infection and treating it with antibiotics it was helping the infection and inflammation in my appendix but then suddenly without warning because of scar tissue it ruptured because it couldn't "stretch" or become inflamed. Apparently chronic appendicitis can cause scar tissue to form which can inhibit the "flexibility" of the appendix.
