Hello Everyone.A little over a week ago,i noticed a "sore place" on the bottom of my tounge. It gave me a little grief while eating, but no other problems.A day or two later,i noticed a swollen lymph node on my neck.No other symptoms were present. On Monday the fever began. This was accompanied by flu like symptoms.Sore throat, sore joints, sore body, fever.I figured it was the flu,so i took appropriate measures.Indeed,on Wednesday things appeared to be better.Fever was gone. So,i attempted to resume normal activity.Within a few hours,it came back with a vengance.Fever of 101,weakness,soreness.Went to the doctor on Thursday.Strep test and mono test were negative, white count was normal. He said my throat looked awful.Sores and some puss as well.He prescribed Cephalexin and Methylprednisolone.Seemed to help right away.Throat is much improved, soreness is much improved. However, for two nights i have had soaking "night sweats".This is a new symptom.Additionally,my 99.5 low grade fever persists. Two extra strength tylenol seem to control it pretty well.I don't know what to do folks.I have never been sick like this before.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
