I have been posting on this website for another issue, but I thought I would ask about this one too.

Maybe 2 years ago I started developing a rash of sorts on my upper arms. Then earlier this year it started to appear on my lower legs (ankle area). Now it is starting to spread from my upper arms to my back. It is not itchy, or have any pus or anything. But it looks funny. It is a ton of tiny red to reddish bumps. I have included pictures, as I don't know how else to describe it.

I apologize for the quality... it is hard to photograph your own arms.

I was told by one Dr. is might be heat rash, but Heat Rash is supposed to dissipate in cool environments, and when you are not layering clothes over it. This rash is constant no matter how long I go without sleeves or stay in cool places. (It is even here in the winter.)

Please let me know if you have any ideas!

One thing is bothering me is that my skin does not really feel rough or dry. But I suppose it could be it anyway. I don't know. I will bring this up with the next Dr. I see. Thank you!If anyone has any other suggestion I am open to them too. (It never hurts to have options.)

  • It does not look like Keratosis Pilarus to me from the pictures you have posted. Please check for Mycobacterial Infection. From what you present, this isan educated guess. Did you get a pedicure, use a hot tub or swimming pool? There are many types of Mycobacteria...my immediate guess would beM. Fortuitum. Please run a Search on this and see if your symptoms correlate.

And the rash started 2years ago.
